Sooth - overview

Sooth uses TENS technology to reduce pain drug-free. I designed my TENS machine around feminine pain. Although the machine has recently been redesigned around feminine pain, I identified fundamental flaws in the original design, particularly the adhesive gel pads not being secure enough on the skin to support an active lifestyle. I decided to create an aesthetic wired TENS machine to fill a gap in the market. Wired TENS machines that attach to clothing rather than directly to the skin are far more stable and do not fall off. This is the first wired TENS machine to incorporate an app. The gel pads used on machines that attach directly to the body are significantly more expensive than traditional wired ones. For someone experiencing constant chronic pain from feminine health, this expense can add up.I also explored whether TENS devices for female health are subject to the "pink tax" — the practice of charging more for products marketed to women than similar products marketed to men. Recently, feminine products have been redesigned to enable a more active lifestyle, addressing a bias that women experiencing feminine pain are less active.
